Why the highest peak on Earth?
When we began thinking about Ploma’s first major expedition, we faced a simple question:
Where should we go first?
There are thousands of incredible places on our planet. Mountains, oceans, deserts, glaciers, and territories that continue to amaze humanity.
But we did not want to choose simply a beautiful place.
We wanted to choose a symbol.
And that is why we chose Everest.
Everest as a symbol of moving forward
Everest is the highest point on our planet. Its summit rises nearly 8,849 meters above sea level.
But for us, the meaning of this mountain is not only about its height.
For decades, Everest has represented human dreams, strength, and the determination to achieve something that can seem impossible.
People spend years preparing for the climb. They train, study the routes, face extreme cold, powerful winds, high altitude, and thin air. And they do all of this for one goal.
To reach the summit.
This idea is deeply connected to Ploma. Because every great achievement begins in the same way.
First, there is an idea. Then there is a desire. Then someone takes the first step. And step by step, they move closer to their own summit.
Why didn’t we choose something easier?
We could have started anywhere else. We could have chosen a more accessible mountain. We could have gone on a beautiful expedition. We could have created a project that would be easier to accomplish.
But we did not want to start with something simple.
We wanted our first destination to reflect the way we see the future.
If we are going to move forward, why not start from the highest point?
Everest became that choice for us. It is not simply a mountain. It is a challenge. It is a journey. It is a goal that requires preparation, patience, teamwork, and an enormous determination to reach the end.
Everest with Ploma
The planned Ploma expedition will take place from November 2026 through April 2027, depending on weather conditions, route conditions, and the safety of the expedition members.
Together with the mountaineers, Ploma will begin its journey toward the summit. And our symbol will travel there with them.
The Ploma banner will rise together with the expedition, following the entire journey from the foot of the mountain to the summit. And when the mountaineers reach the highest point, the Ploma symbol will be there with them.
But behind this symbol will be more than just the name and team of Ploma. Behind it will be everyone who is moving forward with us.
Our users. Creators. People who share their stories. People who create ideas. People who move forward every day.
That is why the summit of Everest will become more than just a point on the expedition route. It will become a symbol of a shared journey.
This is only the first summit
We do not see Everest as the final destination. Quite the opposite.
This is our first height.
After one summit, there is always another. After one achievement, a new goal appears. After one discovery, there is always a desire to discover more.
That is why we chose Everest. Because we want to begin from a place that reminds us of one simple idea:
There is always somewhere further to go.
We will continue exploring our planet, creating new projects, opening new directions, and searching for new heights.
Today, it is Everest. Tomorrow, it could be an entirely different place on Earth. But the principle will remain the same.
